I Swear...

...sometimes reading K.C. Johnson is like watching a blind man struggling to find his keys. This piece is a hoot. It begins by explaining that, with Hughes' injury, the "organizational questions" over whether Hinrich or Hughes should start are now moot. Then--after giving us the specifics of Hughes' injury (it's 6 to 8 weeks)--K.C. frets about how poorly Hinrich is playing off the ball/Rose.

What's conspicuously missing from this picture? Only the Bulls' leading scorer over the past three seasons. It's written as if Ben Gordon doesn't exist. I understand he's injured, but come on. If the "organizational question" is seriously centered around whether Hughes or Hinrich should start at the two, I'm not sure what I'm doing investing any time or interest in this organization; it'd be like rooting for AIG.

Did you guys catch this little diddy in the daily herald today: "By the way, the Bulls have been calling this an injury to the right big toe, but Gordon insisted it's the left one that is hurting." Sure wish Sam Smith was around to let us know what was going on...

I said it years ago when people thought it was taboo you don't win titles with Kirk Hinrich.

Hinrich is to the Bulls as Grossman is to the Bears. Or Deng is to the Bulls as Alfonso Soriano is to the Cubs?Yeah....

Personally I have always liked BG and yeah he turns the ball over time to time but his scoring is a sure bet. Really he's cold blooded and he can score in big games at big moments. Now the size and defense issue will always be there but you put him with Rose and thats kinda scary. The game has changed it's really more street ball than ever. Finding a guy who can both score and have lock down defense maybe over with all the talent in the NBA.

If the Bulls can have shot blockers like Thomas and Noah behind BG and Rose that might a nice back court.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Bulls trying to trade Deng and Hinrich. If thats possible. Finding a player like Gerald Wallace I think would compliment those guys well. He can player the 2 or 3.

I would like to see this...but with so much money invested in Deng and Hinrich this won't happen.

Rose
BG
Thabo(maybe he's a slow starter)
Thomas
Noah
