Six Points

The Terry three after the near steal on Nowitzki by Kirk and the dubious offensive foul call on Deng (instead of an "And 1") with about three minutes left in the fourth, and this game, despite utterly shitty play by Ben and Luol, goes the other way. Cold comfort, at 4-11, but combined with Kirk's nice 4th quarter, something to make this loss maybe go down a little easier. Maybe.

Pretty sad when you get to the point of looking at Kirk having one good quarter as a positive. How about Tyrus only playing seven minutes? Nice work Sgt. Skiles.

The Bulls' little "big 3"
(luol, ben,and kirk) made only 13 shots out of 45 attempts. Ouch!!!

How did Noah look?

Noah looked pretty good. Seven rebounds in 14 minutes, three of four from the line, and his low shooting percentage was because a fair number of his shots were offensive tips toward the basket, basically keeping the ball alive. And I thought he did a nice job defensively on Dirk, who got bailed out at least twice by some pretty questionable calls. (I should also say that I thought Tyrus did a pretty impressive job on Dirk, in the limited time he was in. I don't know why Skiles banished him to the bench. Again, it's kind of confounding.)

The problem is, until he can consistently hit a 12-15 foot jumper, defenders are just going to sag off him and clog the lane, which usually slows the offense down to a halt. Nowitzki was basically daring him to shoot last night, and for the most part, Noah resisted, which was good because the one time he didn't, he heaved up a hideous-looking brick.
